Please click the tabs below to view the Conference Program Summary and Final Conference Program for the 2017 Australian Cotton Research Conference.

The conference program will run over 3 full days from 8:30 am daily. Each day will commence with a plenary session featuring presentations from one or two renowned speakers covering key themes in cotton science each over about 45 minutes. Every Plenary session will conclude with a few 3 minute “pitch talks” that will give our younger researchers an opportunity to practice pitching the key messages of their research to their peers. These pitches will replace the more traditional poster sessions of previous conferences. The remainder of each day will feature a number of concurrent sessions grouped under discipline themes divided into 15 minute slots.

On the evening of the first night there will be a mixer in the foyer of the CSIRO Discovery Centre with drinks and finger food. The cost of the mixer is included in the registration fee.

The Conference dinner will be held on the second evening at the National Museum of Australia and will be the occasion when the Association Awards will be presented. The cost of the dinner will be included in the registration fee. Conference delegates are welcome to bring a partner or guest to the dinner; tickets for non-delegates are available through the Conference Online payment facility during registration.

Dress code is smart casual.

Note: There will be no specific Conference Merchandise. CSIRO branded merchandise and scientific gifts are available from the CSIRO Discovery shop in the display area on the lower floor of Discovery.
